In this scenario, Quantum Mechanics is the underlying physics running on the simulation, but computation power is saved by on computing what is needed to provide information to the senses of conscious observers in the simulation.
This could seem to be compatible with answers [[B2 - Human Observation]] and [[B3 - To Observe Me]], as maybe the simulated reality is only generated as the participants in the simulation (humans and me, respectively) experience that part of reality.
While this initially sounds like it might be similar to what we observe in our reality, as, under certain interpretations of Quantum Mechanics, the wave function collapses when observed, that is **not** the same as the scenario outlined here. The rules of Quantum Mechanics that govern our universe are not just what is observed after wave function collapse, it is the entire wave function of the universe.
This means that essentially, you can not have "Just In Time" Quantum Mechanics, you would need to simulate the wave function of the entire universe.
